Yay... I'm going over to participate in an exhibition held over there.. (Shanghai)from 9th-11th April 2008.. A business trip again.. Woohoo.. Much to experience.. Much to see...
SCIENTISTS have for the first time found evidence that polar bears are drowning because climate change is melting the Arctic ice shelf.
The researchers were startled to find bears having to swim up to 60 miles across open sea to find food. They are being forced into the long voyages because the ice floes from which they feed are melting, becoming smaller and drifting farther apart.
Although polar bears are strong swimmers, they are adapted for swimming close to the shore. Their sea journeys leave them vulnerable to exhaustion, hypothermia or being swamped by waves.
There's also evidence of cannibalism among bears competing for food supplies.
The researchers returned to the vicinity a few days later after a fierce storm and found four dead bears floating in the water.
In their search for food, polar bears are also having to roam further south, rummaging in the dustbins of Canadian homes.
WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?
Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.
The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence.1 The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.
We’re already seeing changes. Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitat, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing.
The number of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes has almost doubled in the last 30 years.2
Malaria has spread to higher altitudes in places like the Colombian Andes, 7,000 feet above sea level.3
The flow of ice from glaciers in Greenland has more than doubled over the past decade.4
At least 279 species of plants and animals are already responding to global warming, moving closer to the poles.5
If the warming continues, we can expect catastrophic consequences.
Deaths from global warming will double in just 25 years -- to 300,000 people a year.6
Global sea levels could rise by more than 20 feet with the loss of shelf ice in Greenland and Antarctica, devastating coastal areas worldwide.7
Heat waves will be more frequent and more intense.
Droughts and wildfires will occur more often.
The Arctic Ocean could be ice free in summer by 2050.8
More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050.9
There is no doubt we can solve this problem. In fact, we have a moral obligation to do so. Small changes to your daily routine can add up to big differences in helping to stop global warming. The time to come together to solve this problem is now – TAKE ACTION

We had dinner at Min Jiang, somewhere in Rochester park... Had our cakes(done by ah lan ah yi) 1st instead of last as the shou tao is served 1st.. The food there was good.. Ambiance was great as well.. (Not good for elderly maybe, becos it's dim) hahaha... Here's some pictures...

Frankly speaking, we're suppose to go back and have fun in the hotel. We've even brought monopoly! In the end, becos 2 guys had wine during popo's bday dinner, they were "half dead" when we r back in the hotel.. and also becos of the tempting comfy bed and pillows.. the rest of us become "dead" as well.. Haha.. Thanks Sky for the nite stay though...
My sponsorship is confirmed! $22,000 course fee sponsored by my company! I'm going back to school man.. In brief, that's how the contract will be:
1) 5 years bond(not really very long actually.. Becos they're paying for my 3 yrs studies, so it's actually bonding me for 2 yrs after I get my degree)
2) Only 3-5% increment for the 1st 3 yrs (Sadden, but it's ok becos they're paying the school fees for me) =D
3) Major jump in salary once i finish my degree
4) Change of position in company(eg: marketing executive etc), Axel says he'll let me handle the marketing here..
5)Boss will be gettng a lappy for me! Yes!

I'm having good mood today! Woo hoo.. Finally it's Friday...
Do you know how does it feels when u treat someone with real sincerity and friendship, and the other party is just being somehow fake and dishonest with u? I do! I really do know how does that feels... I simply hate it when one is dishonest.. lying to u for the smallest matter on earth... And me, I'm just being stupid to tolerate all this kinda shit again and again... But.. I'm gonna end it soon..
Usually I very chin cai with work and people... as long as they dun come find me trouble.. I'm ok with them... KNN.. now everything mah chiam is my fault lor.. This miss catherine hor.. really give me problem.. She saw me on bus late today.. and she speak out loud.. "LATe ar" on bus.. nvm.. den says.. oh I late cos I go CPF board.. i'm fine with that.. and so wat if i'm late.. Tony is not even here yet when I arrive.. After we gt dwn.. i said.. the time i reach interchange, there's no bus, which is true.. U noe after sometime u reach JE's interchange, the bus are gone n u'll have to wait for another badge. She knew it.. cos i met her sometimes.. if she's late like me.. she'll say ya true.. when she's not.. she'll say all kinds of mean stuff... Den after that we saw this guy from our travel agency.. den she speak to him softly.. but just too bad.. i can still hear u hello!.. F*** lor.. She says she's busy doing accounts.. therefore, was unable to book the flight for my boss... blablabla.. after.. she said "they dun care one lar.. as long as they get the flight".. Hearing this sentence.. i already know what she say before that.. She must have said "nowadays not i book.. she book didn't book the lowest rate one.. " the sentence continue with above "they dun care...." I ji tao voice out lor.. i say our regular agent will always book me the lowest rate de lor.. den she pretend to change the topic.. So what if u are the HR/ACC/Admin(almost all is me doing k)... U r always busy with ur accounts for the whole month.. Y is dat so? Becos u are not efficient enough to finish your work.. and u drag your work for the whole month.. Hai.. old woman... Now.. While publishing this blog.. Miss catherine came in.. and say wanna check the stationery that i have.. KNN like scared i steal it lor.. She said" i saw a list of stationery u've ordered, let me see where are they, i wanna see the balance" She's like doubting me now and then.. Si bei sian lor..
